Peak Shaving for Stud Welding
Welding equipment, cranes, lifts and offices can be powered by batteries in combination with small grid connections. For most construction sites we find that an 80 amp grid connection with a battery is enough. This makes waiting for and investing in 400 or 630 KVA grid connections obsolete. Our batteries can also power operations that require short but high peaks of energy use, such as stud welding. In such cases our batteries can allow for peaks of 230 amps, in combination with only an 80 amp grid connection.
Sheet Piling for Gebr. De Koning
A considerable amount of power is required to install sheet piling. Greener provided Gebr. De Koning with a battery to supply these powers, so they did not need any diesel. This resulted in fast sheet piling for the new residential area Weespersluis, using 100% green energy.
The battery was placed on a trailer, so the transport together with the installation is easy. The battery effortlessly provided the peaks needed to place the sheet piles. At the end of the construction day, the team returned the battery to the 3x63a grid connection 100 meters away. At night the sustainable electricity at night was charging the battery. This way the construction team could get back to work the next day with a fully charged battery on their zero-emission construction site.
