Peak power without grid connection
For the construction project of a new city district in Zaandam by Heddes Bouw & Ontwikkeling B.V., the requested grid connection could not be delivered on time. Therefore, the project would have had to rely solely on a diesel generator to ensure a start of the project according to plan. To deliver the peaks, a large generator had to be chosen, which would run inefficiently most of the time, resulting in high emissions.
Peak shaving with smart battery
The mobile battery was directly available and ensured that the construction project could start on time. Additionally, the smart peak shaving capabilities of the battery ensured that a smaller diesel aggregate together with solar panels could be used. This does not only save diesel and create a cleaner environment, but it saves money, which would have been spent on a big diesel generator.
