Low grid supply for theater
The Theaterfestival Boulevard ‘s-Hertogenbosch presents many kinds of performances, which can be enjoyed by big and small visitors. Theatershows, as well as music and dance performances are to be admired and this requires a quiet energy supply. Otherwise, the performers, as well as the visitors could be disturbed making the experience less pleasant. Normally, a sufficient energy supply from the available grid connection could be a solution to this problem, but in the case of this festival, the grid connection of 160 ampere was too small. So, the team from Lion Events Support was looking for a different solution.
Doubling up on clean batteries
To leverage the grid connection of 160 ampere optimally, two Greener batteries were put in place. Those batteries then split the available electricity to charge up by communicating with one another. Therefore, this solution served as a buffer to supply sufficient electricity for all energy peaks. Due to the absence of a diesel generator, the electricity for the festival and all its activities was supplied without emissions and loud noise. This way, the theater, music and dancing shows could be enjoyed by all visitors in peace.
By using two Greener batteries, we were able to reduce the number of running hours of the diesel generator and the use of diesel fuel. Furthermore, together with Greener we measured the actual energy consumption and we can now use this information to optimise the energy planning for future events.
