Standby consumption during set-up for festival organizer
Awakenings uses almost three weeks to organize the annual techno festival. During that period, up to 100 people must be provided with food and shelter every day. A lot of electricity is used for this, which normally is generated with a diesel generator that consumes more than 3000 liters of diesel in a period of more than three weeks.
Peakshaven on a temporary grid connection
Close to the location where the production of the festival takes place is a small transformer station where Greener had a temporary grid connection built. This 3×80 amp mains connection is used to charge a battery which serves as a buffer if the consumption exceeds 80 amp. In this way, production can take place sustainably on green electricity.
The Greener men have looked closely with us to see what is possible on the site. We have been working together for several editions and we always try to be more innovative. The use of fixed voltage instead of a diesel generator as a power source is another great step in making our production more sustainable.
