Low power supply by the grid
Due to the corona pandemic, more people are staying within their home country for vacation. This trend can also be seen in the Netherlands, which has led to the quick expansion of the Europarcs Resort De Utrechtse Heuvelrug. However, all the new vacation homes have increased the electricity demand, which cannot be fulfilled by the two 3×80 ampere grid connection in Maarn. Europarcs had requested a grid reinforcement, but this could not be delivered on time.
Boosting the grid connection with a battery
Greener was able to supply a solution for the low energy supply without the need for fossil fuels. By using two of the Greener batteries as peak shavers, one for each of the available grid connections, the power can be boosted to up to 300 kVA. This served as a quick and sustainable solution and saved all the diesel fuel, which would have been produced by diesel generators. For the vacationers in Utrecht, electricity supply was secured quietly without the emissions and nuisance of diesel generators.
Due to the expansion of our parks, we need larger power connections, which have a long delivery time. Therefore we are happy to work with Greener to provide a sustainable and, above all, clean temporary power supply until we are completely on cable.
