Amsterdam, March 14th, 2022 – Due to future growth ambitions and clear demand in the market for temporary and clean energy storage, the Amsterdam-based scale-up Greener Power Solutions has taken the next step to expand its mobile battery fleet. The order of 20 additional mobile battery systems from Alfen, a specialist in smart energy solutions based in Almere, illustrates the growth of the market for temporary energy solutions, as well as the growth of the company Greener Power Solutions. Greener Power Solutions rents out these batteries and their own EMS software to ensure an efficient and sustainable power supply for construction, event, and infrastructure projects.

Greener is happy with the order of 20 additional batteries as the first milestone of our growth plan for 2022. We aim to grow our fleet with even more batteries later this year, and we will further expand our activities outside of the Netherlands. We are determined to continue our growth and further challenge the established off- and near-grid energy markets.

Just last year, a similar deal was made between the two parties for 30 additional mobile batteries. With this new expansion the total of the battery fleet increases to over 60 units, which further establishes Greener in its position as market leader for mobile battery solutions. Greener plans to further grow its fleet to 80 mobile batteries by the end of the year and diversify its fleet towards smaller and larger systems as well.

These 20 new units supply up to 422 kWh in capacity and up to 318 kVA in power. This means that they have a higher capacity than the mobile batteries currently owned by Greener Power Solutions with 338 kWh. Due to the higher capacity, the new batteries are suitable for events or infrastructure projects, where a stand-alone set-up is necessary. Additionally, they are uniquely suited for projects in residential areas to ensure peace and quiet and prevent that a diesel generator needs to run during the night.

The growth shown in the new order of 20 batteries is demonstrated in Greener’s revenue of 2021, which has been multiplied by 3,5 since 2020. Furthermore, Greener has reached the threshold of a total of 1 million liters diesel saved using their mobile batteries last year. This success is reinvested and since the beginning of the year, five new employees have joined the company, while they continue to search for new enthusiastic talents.

Dieter Castelein, the CEO of Greener Power Solutions, talks about the future of Greener: “Greener is happy with the order of 20 additional batteries as the first milestone of our growth plan for 2022. We aim to grow our fleet with even more batteries later this year, and we will further expand our activities outside of the Netherlands. We are determined to continue our growth and further challenge the established off- and near-grid energy markets.”

Greener Power Solutions is an Amsterdam-based company that has been disrupting the temporary energy market since 2018. They rent out mobile batteries with their own software to different markets for various applications, such as in the event, construction, EV charger or grid reinforcement markets. By renting out batteries, Greener Power Solutions aims to increase the efficiency and sustainability of the power supply for on- and off-grid projects. To fully optimize the power supply, Greener has developed their own planning, monitoring and EMS software. This way, Greener is accelerating the energy transition and their mission to reduce the CO2 footprint of energy markets.
